Dan the Cycling Man enters ride for Dougie Mac Hospice

DMH-Bike-Ride-For-WebWhitehouse’s very own SHEQ advisor Dan Donovan is challenging himself to cycle 110 miles in aid of Douglas Macmillan Hospice.

Douglas Macmillan Hospice aims to provide comprehensive care for those with progressive, advanced disease and a limited life expectancy in order that they may achieve the best quality of life.

This event, which takes place on 15th May 2016, is sponsored by Western Power Distribution and their team manager Phil Wedgwood said:

“We are delighted to sponsor the Dougie Mac Bike Ride again this year. We have been keen supporters of the charity for several years as we recognise that events like these help to raise vital funds for the charity in a really fun way.”

Dan will be starting his journey from the Michelin Athletic Club in Stoke-on-Trent and will head west for Llangollen in Wales before returning to Staffordshire to complete his 110 mile route. This event is part of a series of 100 mile plus sportive rides Dan is participating in during May which will see him cycling throughout England and Wales.

Dan said: “My brother had mentioned the ride to me and I was keen to cycle for such an amazing cause, I can’t wait to take on this challenge”.

Everyone at Whitehouse will like to wish Dan good luck ahead of his cycle ride and you can help him raise money for Douglas Macmillan Hospice by visiting his fundraising page here.
