ICE North West are hosting an event to showcase works we undertook to stabilise a landslip in Prestwich, Greater Manchester for the Forestry Commission
This events presentation and site visit will be taking place on 14th July at Prestwich Golf Club between 4-8pm.
A number of houses had to be evacuated following a significant landslip adjacent to Grundy Avenue. Whitehouse Construction, on a design and build basis, were engaged and delivered both essential land drainage and slope stabilisation works to prevent further slippage.
Our contracts manager for this scheme Ian Pitt said: “It is great that ICE have noted and highlighted, works Whitehouse delivered in Prestwich, showcasing them in such a way will give great benefit of other members of the ICE. We faced many challenges during this project and overcame them to the delight of the Forestry Commission. I am very proud of Whitehouse Construction have achieved”.
