Nottinghamshire County Council, as a lead local flood authority, work closely with the Environment Agency to deliver flood risk management schemes across the County.

Southwell was identified as a catchment area that would benefit from Property Flood Resilience, and under the EA PFR Framework, we successfully mitigated 114 domestic properties against future flooding.

Working Together

Providing long-term, sustainable solutions, we installed a variety of PFR measures on a bespoke basis. Considering the surface water nature of flooding, passive measures such as Flood Doors were manufactured and installed by our in-house installation teams.

Winning the Highly Commended Award in the Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE) East Midlands Merit Awards (EMMA) 2020 is a testament to the successful management, coordination and delivery of the Southwell project.

They have completed the work on my house this morning. Very polite and kept me fully informed of what they were doing, taking me through all the instructions and made sure I understood what I needed to do in the event of another potential flood. They cleaned up after the work and removed all rubble etc. Very pleased with their work.
