We were appointed to extend the current production lines at Croda’s Leek site to facilitate the increased manufacturing capacity required to produce the COVID-19 vaccine. The high demand of the critical vaccine programme meant we were under strict timescales to ensure production started as quickly as possible.
Works included: installation of concrete screed floor; concrete bunds; new mezzanine floor; new uPVC windows; new doors including roller shutter door; internal fit-out (kitchen etc); external drainage works (culverts and sumps); bund repair works; roof repairs; painting and plastering and building modifications.
As works were completed in a live operational chemical facility, our SHEQ Advisor was in constant liaison with the client to ensure the health and safety of members of our delivery team, and Croda’s operational staff within the facility.
Efficient liaison with our Site Manager and the client resulted in works completed on time and to a high quality.
